About Chenango Brokers
Chenango Brokers was formed in 1972 by a small regional insurance company in New York as an alternate market for its rural agencies. In 1999, the brokerage was sold to John Mason, who at the time had been a successful independent agent working with both traditional IA carriers as well as a couple of carriers who’d been typically known as “captive” agent carriers. Over two decades Chenango has expanded into 21 states, has licenses pending in additional states, and will gladly discuss opportunities that make good business sense for its carrier and agent partners in additional states.
